Pro­mo­tions Com­mit­tee Event Coordinators/Volunteers
Vendor/Food Coor­di­na­tor — Posi­tion Open — This per­son coor­di­nates other vol­un­teers in insur­ing that our ven­dors are happy ! Before the event they will lead other vol­un­teers in mak­ing a ven­dor map, and orga­niz­ing the ven­dors for easy set up the day of the event. Dur­ing our events this coor­di­na­tor will assist their team in plac­ing the ven­dors , mark­ing off the road if nec­es­sary, and answer­ing their ques­tions. This coor­di­na­tor in the months before the event will ensure that the ven­dor apps, 501©3 cer­tifi­cates and Insur­ance cer­tifi­cates are filed with Main Street, and pro­mote our events with poten­tial ven­dors. Patri­cia needs 2 or three vol­un­teers to make sure the ven­dors are happy !

Enter­tain­ment Coor­di­na­tor — Posi­tion Open — This per­son will lead other vol­un­teers as needed in every­thing enter­tain­ment for our fes­ti­vals. From Book­ing ideas, to stag­ing and time coor­di­na­tion, to answer­ing ques­tions. Also mak­ing sure our spon­sor­ship ban­ners for those events are set up prop­erly and timely to give those spon­sors thanks for sup­port­ing our event. We need one or two vol­un­teers to make sure the enter­tain­ment is happy , and the sched­ule is adhered to at the main stage,

Two Logis­tics Coor­di­na­tors — A.M (7 AM-12:30PM) — PM Posi­tion Open — These two peo­ple will lead other vol­un­teers in set-up and clean up detail. They be respon­si­ble for all logis­tics, guests and vol­un­teers– street clos­ing with the City of New­berry, ade­quate garbage cans in place, check in the mid­dle of the day that those things are run­ning smoothly, as well as clean up after the event and park­ing. Opti­mally we will have one Coor­di­na­tor for the morn­ing and one for the after­noon, in 5 — 5/12 hour shifts. Vol­un­teers you may be “employ­ing” might be the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, church youth groups or such to keep with the clean up detail and smil­ing faces. We need 6 vol­un­teers for each shift to ensure our fes­ti­val runs smoothly and our guests are happy !

Run/Walk Coor­di­na­tor — SPRING FESTIVAL ONLY — We need a coor­di­na­tor to run a team of vol­un­teers. The vol­un­teers needed will run the 4 tables and get reg­is­tra­tions, give out mate­ri­als . Anne needs one or two vol­un­teers to help at the New­berry Table.

His­tor­i­cal Home Tour Coor­di­na­tor — Vol­un­teers needed to assist in the His­tor­i­cal Home Tour — Hol­i­day sea­son only — Ticket Tak­ers, home greeters, paper­work per­son, other tasks. Charles and Leigh need 4 vol­un­teers to ensure peo­ple get on and off the car­riage ok, and tick­ets are sold to the His­tor­i­cal Build­ing Tour.

Bar­beque Cook Off Coor­di­na­tor — Vol­un­teers needed to assist in this Event — FALL FESTIVAL ONLY — Ticket Tak­ers, Judge Hos­pi­tal­ity, Entry team. Bill needs 4 vol­un­teers to sell food and help with the bar­beque cook off.

Chil­dren Activ­i­ties Coor­di­na­tor — Vol­un­teers needed to assist Amy with children’s activ­i­ties for the Fall Fes­ti­val, and Spring Unity Day Events.
